Ramdas Athawale Mumbai: The RPI chief Ramdas Athawale told media that he will stick to the Mahayuti and keep his promise to support the Mahayuti’s candidate at any cost.Earlier, Mr Athawale had claimed Mr Shewale’s seat. He further said that, "On Saturday, I met chief minister Devendra Fadnavis who assured me to give Rajya Sabha seat. The surprise inspection is having a tremendous impact

(Photo: Representational | File) New Delhi: The Delhi Commission for Woman (DCW) on Thursday claimed to have found liquor being sold from a community toilet in city&China UF Toilet Seat39;s Timarpur area during a surprise inspection.DCW chief Swati Maliwal along with the CEO of Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board, Shurbir Singh, have been making surprise checks to assess conditions of community toilets following a direction by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal last week.The move was initiated following complaints of shortage of water and power at community toilets in the city.The DCW and DUSIB teams visited nine toilets and on February 12, during a visit to a toilet at Sanjay Basti, Timarpur, some women complained that liquor is sold in the toilet, the DCW said in a statement."The DCW chief along with members discovered illegal liquor in the caretaker's room but the caretaker was missing," the statement said.Also, a music system and DJ sets were found inside the room, it added."This substantiated that the allegations of the women who had complained that the caretaker of the toilet sells illegal liquor," according to the statement.Police were question # two men in connection with the findings and were in the process to register an FIR, the DCW statement said.The women's panel said that during visit, four out of five toilets were found dirty and show cause notices have been issued."The surprise inspection is having a tremendous impact and many toilets are being cleaned overnight in the city. This exercise should be repeated regularly to keep the system at its toes. Proper sanitation and safety in toilets is non-negotiable," Swati Maliwal said.

More than two weeks after taking oath as the Haryana

(Photo: ANI) Chandigarh: More than two weeks after taking oath as the Haryana Chief Minister, Manohar Lal Khattar on Thursday expanded his council of ministers by inducting 10 members.The induction of 10 members -- six of cabinet rank and four ministers of state -- takes the strength of council of ministers to 12.Haryana governor Satyadeo Narain Arya administered the oath to newly inducted ministers at a ceremony at the lawns of China MDF Toilet Seat Factory Raj Bhawan here.

Among the ministers who took oath, eight are from BJP and one from Jannayak Janata Party (JJP) and one Independent.Barring former hockey player-turned-BJP MLA Sandeep Singh, all the ministers took oath in Hindi. Singh donning a saffron turban took oath in Punjabi.Kamlesh Dhanda, the BJP MLA from Kalayat assembly seat, was the lone woman minister who took oath.Those who were inducted in the 17-day-old Manohar Lal cabinet as cabinet minister are six-time MLA from Ambala cantonment Anil Vij, former speaker Krishanpal Gujjar of BJP from Jagadhri seat, BJP's Mool Chand Sharma from Ballabgarh seat, Independent and former chief minister Om Prakash Chautala's brother Ranjeet Singh from Rania seat, BJP's Jai Parkash Dalal from Loharu seat and former minister of state Dr Banwari Lal from Bawal seat. Among those who were inducted as ministers of state are BJP's Om Prakash Yadav from Narnaul seat, BJP's Kamlesh Dhanda from Kalayat seat, JJP's Anoop Dhanak from Uklana seat and Sandeep Singh from Pehowa seat.Khattar and JJP's Dushyant Singh Chautala had taken oath on October 27 as CM and deputy Chief Minister respectively.Prominent among those were present on the occasion included union minister Narender Singh Tomar and Krishanpal Gujjar, state BJP chief Subash Barala, state BJP incharge Anil Jain, speaker Gian Chand Gupta, JJP state chief Nishan Singh, former ministers Ram Bilash Sharma, Capt Abhimanyu and Manish Grover.

The MP's wife, Priyadarshini Raje, who was also present on the occasion, said, "Maharaj (a popular term of address for Scindia) will continue to represent them (people of the region) and I have no plans to contest elections. "
